Maya Israel (1974) lives and works in Jerusalem.

MFA and BFA graduate of the Art Department at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.

Winner of Shoshana Ish-Shalom Prize for a painter working in Jerusalem (2015).

Solo exhibitions include: “Days and Seas” at The Jerusalem Artist House. “Remains to Be Seen” at Contemporary by Golconda gallery, Tel Aviv. “Human portraiture” at the Haifa Museum of Art. Group exhibitions included ” In Between”, Ashdod Art Museum. “Comforting Scapes”, the Art Cube Gallery, the Artist Studios, Jerusalem. Recent work has been showcased in the NY Art Magazine.

Maya works at the Artist Studios in Jerusalem, her work is widely appreciated and can be found in both public and private collections.
